If you break the yarn while spinning or you spin to the end of your fiber, you will need to add more fiber if you want to extend the length of your yarn. When adding on new fiber to your spun yarn, be sure to leave a least 2 inches of unspun fiber on the end of the yarn. Take the end of the new fiber and place it with the loose fibers at the end of the yarn. Pinch the fibers together and add a little twist. Begin treadling the wheel and let the twist enter into the merged fibers before releasing to draft out new fiber. Continue spinning.
